• Account and authentication: When you register as a boat owner or worker we collect email, password, and name. When you register as a service provider we also collect display name, business category, service listing, and optional cost information. We process email verification codes and password reset tokens when you use those flows.
• Login and session: When you sign in, we issue access and refresh tokens that the website or app stores in your browser or device (e.g. in local storage on the web) so you stay logged in and we can process API requests on your behalf.
• Push notifications (optional): If you use the app and allow push notifications, we may store your device’s FCM token and optional device identifier and name so we can send you notifications. This is only used for that purpose.
• Other: We may collect boat details, account and payment information (e.g. via our payment provider), usage data, and device information where necessary to provide the service or as permitted by law.

How We Process Your Data (API and Backend)

The data above is sent to the Boatcare API (our backend) for authentication, account management, subscriptions, and service delivery. It is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Platform, to process subscriptions and payments for boat owners, to communicate with you, and to comply with legal obligations.
